We are back!
K-Show 2019, Dusseldorf, Germany

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of traveling to Germany, to attend K-Show, the world’s number one trade fair for plastics and rubber. An eight day show at Messe, Dusseldorf where exciting industry innovations were presented, hot topics were discussed, and valuable contacts were made.

We would like to thank SIPA for their warm welcome and for permitting us to use their stand as a meeting point for our customers. It was great to meet so many of you there and learn about all of the new opportunities that exist, we will be in touch with everyone soon.
We also caught up with the various agents that we work with regularly, to discuss new and existing sales opportunities.

While we were there, new sales opportunities were discussed to find various used Husky HyPET 300 and HyPET 400 preform systems as well as Sidel Universal or newer blow moulding machines. With this in mind, if you’re evaluating to dispose of such machinery (or any other machinery for that matter), do not hesitate to contact us in order to receive a free machine valuation.

We were also given initial information of used machinery that our customers are looking to sell, so keep an eye out for more details on our weekly newsletter. If you haven’t signed up and would like to receive a copy, visit the following link: https://www.petmachinery.com/lets-connect/

What we learnt at K-Show 2019:

Due to the new European law to prevent closure waste, various companies have now come up with tethered cap solutions, increasing the number of closures that are collected and recycled.
Contact us if you are in the market for such a closure mould, we can help!

There was a lot of buzz around circular economy, with many manufacturers putting onus on sustainability. Don’t miss our upcoming blog post about our thoughts on that.

Evolution rather than innovation in machinery, with less energy consumption and faster cycle times being the focus for the most recent changes.

Hot topics discussed around PHA/PLA bioplastics and also polymer chain degradation, we’ll be sharing what we learnt and our thoughts on these in a blog over the coming months.

It was also interesting to see the many single stage offerings at this show as manufacturers move to niche product to deliver profit optimisation.

All in all, we had a very informative and enjoyable trip. There are some brilliant videos and photos from the fair here: https://www.k-online.com/en/Home/K_2019_Live_1 to give you more of an insight.

We’re looking forward to the next one, hope to see you there in 2022!
